Wisconsin Celebrates a Proud Automobile Heritage
The state of Wisconsin has several automobile museums, the largest of which is the aptly named Wisconsin Automotive Museum. It is located in Hartford and features a revolving display of vintage and classic vehicles and artifacts. The museum also boasts the largest collection of Hartford-built Kissel luxury automobiles.
Visitors are treated to displays showcasing more than 110 automobiles from around the world including Chevrolets, Kaisers, Fords and Studebakers. Artifacts such as license plates, gas pumps, oil cans and signs are also on display. The rare Kissel automobile is also featured in the museum’s collection. Fewer than 150 Kissels exist today.
